Ordinary lifestyle changes can sometimes go a long way in helping patients prevent headaches and allow them to live more comfortably. Some simple prevention methods can include the following:
- Try avoiding headache triggers: writing down what causes your headaches can help you avoid it in the future. Patients who are aware of what causes their headaches may be able to prevent them altogether.
- Get a good night’s sleep: you should be getting 7-9 hours of sleep a night.
- Do not skip meals: eat well-balanced meals at the same time every day. Avoid consuming caffeine anything else that can create a headache.
